Bowling for Commies

I like to think this visual is what made our 37th President a great bowler. Say what you will about RN, but the man hated Communists. And that counts for a lot. The 26th anniversary of his 1st inaugural is Thursday.

While we're on Pres. Nixon, here's a bit of rarely mentioned Vietnam history:

"...Congress drastically cut aid to South Vietnam. While her troops fought bravely and well for months despite their depleted resources and the absence of any U.S. support from the air, South Vietnam was overrun by a Soviet Union-supported invasion by North Vietnam in April 1975. A U.S.-backed regime in Cambodia also fell, and in the wake of their victory the communist Khmer Rouge killed as many as two million Cambodians during an ideological cleansing campaign."

Cutting and running is never a good idea.

UPDATE: I meant to include this about the humanitarian refugee crisis spawned by Congressional liberals mentioned above. At least we did the right thing after the fact for these folks. The same cannot be said for this little guy.
