3/278th making (even more of) a difference

www.operationhandsandfeet.org is the web address of a project begun by the 3/278's Gallatin, TN Family Readiness Group (FRG). They are working directly with SGT Jeff Litton, the 3rd Squadron Chaplains Assistant - a great guy by the way. From the website:

We are collecting donations of medical supplies, children's shoes, gloves, clothing and school supplies as a gift from Tennessee and the soldiers of 3rd Squadron to show we care, to help these communities get back on their feet and to help the Iraqi people help themselves.

Needless to say, Saddam-era Iraq was not a place where these goods were plentiful. Military FRGs do a great deal of work helping soldiers as well as helping us complete our mission overseas. The Iraqis truly appreciate this effort and the terrorists we are fighting despise it. The bad guys see this as solid evidence of the hope we offer and they have nothing that can match that.
